I used to listen to a podcast that I enjoyed very much. Then the mother daughter hosts started announcing their pronouns EVERY time. 🙄 Then they started saying they were recording on the ancestral home of XYZ tribe. I listened for the content not for the introduction of she/her for obviously female names and voices along with a perceived guilt trip. 🤮

I’m trans and have been married for years but back in my dating era the second I felt we MIGHT vibe towards a kiss I would ALWAYS disclose (over the phone or in public for safety), despite being post-op and passable. It was a matter of good manners and showing respect on my part, and I never felt offended if they weren’t down. Trans or not, being an honest, respectful, kind and loving person is the surest way to attract a good life partner.

I simply disagree with what they believe and we should help them and if they don't want any, let em do it on their own, God will handle the rest. I think they just don't want to be outed tbh. Dating straight guys who have no idea they're trans is validating their transition. I agree it's selfish... but it's not necessarily a first date conversation either. I'm not talking about dating sites & profiles, I mean like someone asks you out for coffee and lunch, & you go out that very day on a whim... you may not even want to date them afterwards. It's like a woman who can't have kids telling every guy she dates she's infertile. It's a very important conversation and a lot of guys will drop you if you can't have kids- which is their choice, but if we're just having lunch I'm not going to ask someone their sexuality or whether they want to get married and have kids... even if it's technically a date, it's also your introduction to that person. If it was a dating profile, 100% I'd just say I don't want to have kids versus I can't have them... that's too intimate for day 1. Or am I the only one who feels totally turned off by people who say they want 5 children on a first date when they haven't even held your hand yet?! lol. I imagine it's a similar conversation worrying about rejection because as a trans female you can't have their children... but if it comes up, and they're rattling off their fantasies of 2 boys, 2 girls, white picket fence... then is the time to just flat out say you're not having kids and maybe transition into not having the biology to do so. Don't wait until things are hot & heavy & say "SURPRISE"... that's just ick. And I don't think it's homophobic or transphobic to be straight and have the opposite sex as a preference. And I'm pansexual- I still have preferences and a say in who I date. I can't imagine thinking otherwise.
